Nobody Said That It Was Easy, is a soulful, pop album that ties together the use of cinematic elements, synthesized instrumentation, and the push and pull of smooth R&B grooves to capture the emotion behind its writing. The first single (also the title track), premiered via live performance on the NBC-affiliate, KARE-TV channel in Minneapolis and immediately gained radio airplay on iHeartMedia stations, including Minneapolis/Saint Paul stations, Cities 97.1 and KDWB 101.3. Organically achieving over half a million streams across all platforms, the success of the single (and album) paved the way for Eric to open for such bands as Echosmith, Ocean Park Standoff, and The Revivalists.
“I LOVE your album! Wow! And your vocal range is INSANE! Beautiful singing, writing, and production…resembles a John Legend and Charlie Puth type sound. Great album!” — DJ JOHNNY D, 101.3 KDWB/104.7 KCLD, iHEARTRADIO (MINNEAPOLIS/ST PAUL)
“You have a big sound that compliments your voice and talent. At times you remind me of John Mayer (The World) and George Michael (Come and Gone). Your falsetto sounds so effortless and smooth in Look After You, (makes me think of Leslie Odom, Jr.). Really excellent!” — STACI MATTHEWS, 94.5 KS95, MOON & STACI SHOW, iHEARTRADIO (MINNEAPOLIS/ST PAUL)
